WPPA Snapshot: wildlife photography tips and tricks and Lessons Learned

Summer is one of the best times of year to get out with a camera and photograph Wyoming's incredible wildlife, but success in the field often comes down to more than just having the right gear. Join us for an informal discussion with several experienced wildlife photographers as they share practical tips, favorite techniques, common mistakes, and lessons learned from years spent photographing animals in their natural habitats.

Whether you're hoping to capture birds in flight, big game in the mountains, or simply improve your wildlife images on your next outing, this conversation is designed to help you make the most of your time in the field. Bring your questions, your experiences, and perhaps even a favorite wildlife image or two as we explore everything from camera settings and fieldcraft to ethics, patience, and the unexpected challenges that come with photographing wild subjects.

This will be a relaxed, discussion-driven session with plenty of opportunities for attendees to ask questions and share their own wildlife photography successes and frustrations. Whether you're a seasoned outdoor photographer or just getting started, you'll leave with ideas you can put into practice this summer.
