Summer Shootout in Sheridan

Join us in Sheridan for one of WPPA’s most anticipated weekends of the year! The Summer Shootout is all about getting out from behind the screen and back into the field. Expect hands-on opportunities, fresh creative perspectives, and plenty of time to connect with fellow photographers. 

Shootout officially kicks off Saturday morning, July 18th, with two full days of photography, hands-on learning, creative exploration, and community in and around Sheridan. Attendees are encouraged to arrive Friday evening, July 17th, to get settled into campgrounds, hotels, or lodging and join fellow photographers for a relaxed evening before the weekend begins.

Throughout the weekend, expect a mix of merit-based education, field shoots, creative challenges, and unique Wyoming experiences, including evening shoots and a Sunday afternoon polo match opportunity. Shootout wraps up Monday morning, July 20th as we say our goodbyes and go home inspired and ready to do some more shooting!
